The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group is Hiring a Corporate Banquet Events Manager Near Chicago, IL

Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in and event manager role; of high volume event execution & catering, familiar with social & corporate groups ranging from 15 - 500
  • 2 years as a hotel banquet manager; High volume catering experience
  • Well organized, detail oriented with excellent follow-up and communication skills
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering top notch service & overall experience to our guest
  • Quick to problem solve and make decisions in the best interest of the overall business, along with exceeding the client expectation
  • Directly reports to Director of Events & Catering Department
  • As the Corporate Events & Catering Manager (CECM) you will be responsible for training all hourly staff & operation managers on event execution on-site & offsite
  • The CECM will be the liaison between the Event Department, Operations Team & Kitchen for both on-site & offsite events
  • Communicate all banquet event orders and changes to Ops Managers, assist with the BEO meeting when needed and/or requested
  • Serve as a Senior representative for the Events Department
  • Develop additional SOPs as needed for the event department & Operations
  • Communicate & coordinate all banquet event order changes to ops managers & staff when needed or requested, including staffing levels for the event, execution times if needed
  • Create standardized event floor plans for max. space flow & execution within the venue
  • Inspect event areas at end of function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean
  • Create standards for staffing schedule, uniform etc
  • Be the point person and/or delegate point person for each event so staff knows the lead at all events.
  • This position is responsible for ensuring that on-premise & off-premise events are well organized and properly executed, providing our customers with high quality event execution and achieve customer satisfaction and retention
  • Meet bi-weekly with GMs for each location to go over Wins/Opportunities for each venue
  • As a Catering Events Manager, you are responsible in assisting the daily execution of all banquet functions throughout the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and execution
  • You are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Oversee the set up of function rooms to include, but not limited to, the placement of linens, silver, glassware and chinaware according to event specifications and a full inspection
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, execution, representation of the brand & company
  • Check room set-up to see that banquet event order directions are completely followed. Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean
  • Make contact with group representatives. Explain how to make contact if needed throughout the function
  • Training Staff as well as being the point of contact at some events
