The Fi Company - Seattle is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician Near Seattle, WA

Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will handle production and facility maintenance items including repair and preventive maintenance aspects and helps improve maintenance processes and develop the maintenance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles all production machine issues, including troubleshooting and diagnostics on all factory equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. 
  • Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in operation and listening for problems.
  • Works closely with the Production Manager and Engineering to determine current and future equipment needs.
  • Plans, schedules, and performs routine maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment used in plastics manufacturing including forklifts, gearboxes, warehouse racking, and pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
  • Regularly inspects and monitors machinery, tools, and equipment for operation or safety concerns.
  • Examines, tests, and repairs machinery, equipment, or components as needed.
  • Accurately reads, interprets, and follows schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Uses a computer to track service needs and completed repairs, documents equipment problems, and manages planned maintenance program.
  • Installs new equipment as needed, ensuring it is production ready and meets all safety guidelines.
  • Completes various machine repair and calibration projects.
  • Works with machine shop tools including mill, lathe, drill press, band saw, etc
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on building structures, grounds, and systems.
  • Supports general plant and office maintenance efforts including carpentry, electrical, or plumbing projects and repairs as time allows or needs require.
  • Regularly lifts and moves up to 50lbs.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn new ways of doing things and readily shares information with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery.
  • Ability/willingness to work independently and confidently once trained on our machinery.
  • Previous experience or working knowledge of forming presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • Technical training/certification preferred, but not required.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and machine shop skills.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Current forklift certification preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated communication, collaboration and ability to work well with others
