PROJECT COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you ready to create a brighter energy future as part of a passionate and purpose-driven organization? The Energy Coalition (TEC) seeks a Project Coordinator (PC) to join our Marketing, Education, and Outreach (ME&O) team. Your placement would be in either TEC’s downtown Los Angeles office or Irvine office and you are welcome to work remotely as needed.
This PC will provide administrative assistance with a specific focus on community engagement & outreach activities to support the development and delivery of clean energy projects across a growing portfolio of programs. These include the Healthy Stores Refrigeration Program, Pomona ACTS project, and others that engage the collective action of communities to save energy and money while protecting their valuable resources. The Healthy Stores Refrigeration Program helps small businesses in Los Angeles’ food deserts replace existing, inefficient refrigerators with energy-efficient models to fill with California-grown healthy food. The Pomona ACTS program is designed to promote healthy, resilient, and energy-efficient renter households.
Qualified candidates can effectively engage with program participants and stakeholders, track project details and documents, coordinate and perform administrative duties at meetings, coordinate the purchase and delivery of program equipment, develop reports and presentation content, conduct research, and staff community events/ booths, and be able to support multiple team members across various departments effectively.
TEC is also interested in candidates who are open to leveraging their skills and expertise across other programs and initiatives as our business opportunities evolve. Project Coordinators often support a variety of TEC’s program activities; therefore, TEC is interested in candidates who can be flexible and leverage their skills across TEC’s projects and initiatives. One of TEC’s values is “learning on the fly,” which means we expect a successful candidate to be able to learn and grow on the job and build expertise by trial and error.
