Central Supplies

Procedure for Disbursing Central Supplies.

Each morning the central supply clerk will do the following:

1) Obtain copy of current census from admissions.

2) With census, and stock cart clerk will proceed to the supply stock room.

3) In the central supply stock room there will be copies of Central Supply Inventory Sign-Out Sheet.

4) Central supply clerk will distribute central supplies to resident rooms as follows.

5) On the Central Supply Inventory Sign -Out Sheet, column, (1) write the date, in column (2) write the Resident’s Name, (taken from the census list). In column (3)write the item name that you are giving to that resident, in column (4) write the quantity, in column (5) write the size, in column 6 sign your Name. Stack your cart accordingly and distribute. For example if your cart can only hold supplies for three (3) residents, check off the names of the residents you are delivering to on your census list. Make your delivery, come back to the supply room and start the process all over, starting with the next resident on your census list.

6) Please refer to exhibit #1 daily census, and exhibit # 2 Central Supply Inventory Sign-Out Sheet.

7) When you have completed the morning delivery, ALL completed CENTRAL SUPPLY INVENTORY SIGN-OUT SHEET(S) MUST be taken to the Business Office for processing.

8) Under the direction of the Assistant Business Office Manager, you will scan the charges into the computer.

9) In the Business Office there is a book with scan sheets for Residents name, Items and size and a scanner that is connected to a computer.

10) From the Central supply Inventory Sign-Out Sheets, you will scan the Resident’s name, the item number, the item quantity along with the appropriate size.

11) During the course of the day if you are required to disburse additional items. Functions number’s five (5) through ten (10) will be applicable.

12) In order for Courtyard Gardens Rehabilitation Center to appropriately capture ALL charges for supplies disbursed to resident(s) there MUST be no deviation from the above procedures.
