SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Visuallyinspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes ofmalfunctions.

Dismantle machines and equipmentto gain access to problem area.

Inspects andmeasures parts to detect wear misalignment or otherproblems.

Starts machines and equipment to testoperation following repair.

Removes repairs orreplaces broken parts using hand or power tools.

Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe drill pressor grinder to make or repair parts.

Identifiesproblems with automated equipment using Programmable LogicControllers making program changes as needed.

Develops and performs preventive maintenance program for facilitiesand equipment.

Diagnoses and replaces faultyelectrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic components ofmachines and equipment.

Cleans and lubricatesshafts bearings gears and other parts ofmachinery.

Installs programs or repairsautomated machinery and equipment.

Other dutiesmay beassigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / orEXPERIENCE

Must have high schooldiploma or G.E.D. a one year certificate from college or technicalschool desirable; plus three years combined experience inelectrical plant maintenance equipment maintenance (troubleshooting preventive etc.

and general mechanical maintenance(hydraulics fabrication welding etc.); or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.

Requires experience in use andprogramming of Programmable LogicControllers.

LANGUAGESKILLS

Ability to read analyze andinterpret technical procedures and safety regulations. Ability towrite reports and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively presentinformation and respond to questions from ball productionemployees.

MATHEMATICALSKILLS

Ability to calculatefigures using whole numbers fractions and decimals. Ability toapply concepts of basic algebra andgeometry.

REASONINGABILITY

Ability to define problemscollect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability tointerpret an extensive variety of technical instructions inmathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract andconcrete variables.

OTHER SKILLSAND ABILITIES

Requires ability toread mechanical / electrical drawings blueprints specifications andother technicalinformation.
