What Will You Do?

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to departments to monitor productivity and work closely with department managers to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including billing, collections and reconciling payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Conduct a daily review and audit of all financial transactions related to the hotels’ revenue, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other income sources.
  • Generate and analyze daily revenue reports to identify any discrepancies or trends.
  • Assist with closing procedures at month end, prepare accruals and journal entries, and maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist with financial statements, and variance analysis from budget.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting role, Hospitality experience is an asset.
  • Post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Business or Finance and/or currently enrolled in or completed CPA program preferred.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Ability to sets goals and standards that are decisive and achievement oriented while finding solutions that are beneficial to guests, associates and the organization.
  • Must have a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality, and work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • A positive attitude and a can-do approach to any task is essential
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel), data-based software, email and web browsers.
