The Dupps Company has a job opening for a Staff Accountant at its Germantown, Ohio facility. Qualifications for this position include:

• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting

Duties/Responsibilities would include:

• Performs cost accounting analysis for the business including preparing root cause analysis and working with operations personnel on corrective actions to improve performance
• Reviews inventory cycle count performance to ensure proper coverage. Works with warehouse and operations personnel to identify the reason for variances and taking corrective actions
• Perform sales and margin analysis to identify variances and root causes
• Perform month end close activities including journal entry preparation and account analysis
• Assist accounts payable analyst in verifying and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
• Assist accounting analyst to ensure timely billing and assist with past due collection efforts
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
• Utilize business analytic tools to generate dashboard reporting
• Performs other related duties as assigned
