Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Clear understanding of contract types: Construction Manager as Agent, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Lump Sum (CG), Cost Plus.
• Knowledge of Capital Improvement, Repair and Maintenance, and Tax-Exempt projects and ability to explain necessary documentation and recording.
• Ability to prepare/review initial project cash flow reports, updating monthly to track actual, reallocating as needed for CFO review and submission to Owner/Developer.
• Process monthly lender/owner requisition reports for projects.
• Review and interpret owner contracts, subcontractor contracts and all required documentation, creating abstracts for reference.
• Communicate with Project team to prepare and maintain timely submission of monthly requisition report.
• Attend project team meetings to understand the project, trades’ status and its effect on financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and consistent billings and reporting utilizing Procore and Intacct.
• Review and approval of ERP feed for consistent and accurate allocation of budget and costs.
• Request subcontractor trade requisitions through Procore, setting up billing periods and working with the project team on process and approval for timely inclusion in our
• Attend pencil meeting with owner and/or architect to ensure proper and accurate pay application to the owner per contract terms.
• Prepare/Review monthly general conditions reporting, create general conditions analysis and track monthly general conditions against the budget, working with CFO, CEO and PX quarterly to analyze and reallocate costs.
• Review and assist in monthly preparation of ACR for review with CFO, PX for submission and review with Owner/Developer.
• Process accounts payable for general condition invoices in addition to monthly work-in-place
• Reconcile job cost and budget across monthly requisition report, Procore and Intacct
• Investigate and reconcile variance analysis within specific cost codes.
• Supervise and train junior level accounting staff on project accountant functions and requirements.
• Review labor rates submitted by trades, familiarity with both union and non-union includable benefits and costs.
• Assist with any additional financial functions as required and requested.

Qualifications

Qualifications, skills and abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
• At least 10-15 years Construction Accounting
• Sage Intacct, Sage Timberline and Procore software a plus
• Advanced computer skills Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups, Queries, Filters, etc), Power Bi, Power Point
• Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills; strong analytical skills a must
• Must be highly organized with attention to details, results oriented and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
• Ability to safely navigate a construction site which includes the following: climbing ladders and stairs, use of job hoists, inclement weather conditions, hazardous/cluttered and dark area, etc.
