Who We Are
The Dive Motel & Swim Club is a ‘70s inspired, design-forward, boutique hotel and bar in East Nashville. With a pool, bar, and motel, The Dive Motel works off of two seasons — high in summer and low in winter — we turn high-volume, big days at the pool during summer and offer a curated, guest-driven experience in the winter months.
As a Bar Back at The Dive Motel, youwill be responsible for accurately, safely, and efficiently serving drinks while creating a memorable guest experience.
Main Duties
- Bar Set Up & Breakdown | maintain cleanliness of bar, set up & stock bar for success, & preparing fresh ingredients for service
- Bartend | accurately, safely, and efficiently serve all guests while providing exceptional service
- Hospitality | Use steps of service to provide professional, friendly and consistent service
- Teamwork | Communicate effectively with team and management about guest and bar needs
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Driven and self-motivated
- Above average verbal communication skills
- Flexible schedule
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- General computer proficiency
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Previous service experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
- Must be able to work outside in hot environment
- Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the property to another.
- Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 40 pounds.
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb, as required
