JOB TITLE: Audio Visual Technician

REPORTS TO:Director, Visual Media

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Director, Visual Media, the Audio Visual Technician will ensure DIA visitors find personal meaning in art by providing high quality audio-visual services that support the museum’s artistic programs, community engagement, and business-related events.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Three (3) years of audio-visual experience, including specialized training in audio reinforcement and video production, includingone (1) year of professional event set-up required.

This position requires frequent heavy work, and the ability to independently lift and carry a variety of materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., as well as the ability to manage heavier items with team assistance. The position requires high visual acuity in order to ensure the safe use of tools and equipment. Working indoors and outdoors may require exposure to seasonal temperature extremes. Some irregular work hours and occasional domestic travel may also be necessary.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange accurate information using various methods including in-person, telephone, and email.
