The Democratic Party is Hiring a Vetting Research Manager Near Washington, DC

The Vetting Research Manager reports to the Director of Compliance and is responsible for daily vetting needs as delegated by the Director and Deputy Director. An ideal Vetting Research Manager is a self-starter who will approach the role with a commitment to collaboration and empathy, confidentiality, and discretion, while maintaining flexibility.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

  • Daily vetting needs including venues, hosts, event attendees and donations as assigned by the Director.
  • Manage vetting for the Direct Mail team.
  • Manage compliance correspondence for permissible funds, LLCs, partnerships and discerning potential corporate donations.
  • Assist with training of new Compliance hires and interns.
  • Assist the Director and Deputy Director with managing and delegating research to the Research Associates
  • Coordinates special research projects as needed.
  • Prepares problematic vets for review by the Department Director.
  • Assists the Deputy in managing Finance and Political events.
  • Prepare deposits.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • Commitment to the Democratic National Committee and its core values;
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and discretion;
  • Previous experience using LexisNexis preferred;

  • Ability to work cohesively with other staff members; 
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Ability to communicate concisely across multiple medium;
  • Comfort with and ability to learn new software or databases.

Salary: The salary for the Vetting Research Manager position is between $61,000 - $65,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for overtime wages.
