Under medical direction, performs a variety of diagnostic sonography procedures in multiple areas of specialization, ensures proper functioning of ultrasound equipment, and assists physician in related procedures.

This recruitment is for Ultrasonographer II - Bpositions throughout the Santa Clara County Health System. The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used for potential vacancies located at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, O'Connor Hospital, and St. Louise Regional Hospital as they become available. This may include full time, part time, and extra help/per diem opportunities. If you are interested in these opportunities, please fill out the appropriate questions.
Ultrasonographer II – A. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in one RDMS area of sonography used at SCVMC and demonstrated performance of this competency.
Ultrasonographer II – B. Certification by the ARDMS in two RDMS areas of sonography used at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and demonstrated performance of these competencies, OR certification in one RDMS area of sonography AND certification as a Radiological Technologist.
Ultrasonographer II – C. Certification by the ARDMS in three areas of sonography used at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and demonstrated performance of these competencies, OR certification in two RDMS areas of sonography AND certification as a Radiological Technologist.
Ultrasonographer II – D. Certification by the ARDMS in two RDMS areas of sonography used at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, demonstrated performance of these competencies AND is a Registered Vascular Technologist.
