Who You Are
We are looking for people who have a passion for helping others in your community, and who align with our mission, vision, and values as a nonprofit organization. If you have experience working with those experiencing homelessness or any case management experience, this might be the organization for you! A Bachelors degree in a human services major is required. Experience with HUD, tenant rights, and landlords is strongly preferred. We look for collaborative and creative minds, self-managing organizational skills, and the desire to challenge and grow professionally.
What You Will Do
The Housing Initiative Program (HIP) Team provides coordination of services and direct assistance to formerly homeless individuals to promote long term housing stability in a permanent supported housing program. The Homeless Support Services (HSS) Coordinator supports the mission of The Coordinating Center by providing person centered services and service coordination within the parameters of the contract and Housing First principles. The HSS Coordinator provides ongoing outreach to program recipients, works interdependently with the Coordinated Entry System (CES), HIP Housing Locator and HIP Community Health Nurse (when applicable) and collaborates with community agencies to engage recipients in activities which ensure residential stability.
