The Coordinating Center is Hiring a Remote Clinical Quality Manager

This position requires an active Maryland RN license and is a part time teleworking role, working 4 hours a day, Monday-Friday. You must reside in the Maryland area.

In addition, we are advocates for policy and system changes that positively affect the lives of people with the most complex needs.The Part-Time Clinical Quality Nurse is a registered nurse (RN), a member of the Quality Improvement and Outcomes Management (QIOM) Division, and part of the center-based multidisciplinary team. The role is primarily responsible for acquiring, validating, processing, and presenting performance data and audit findings required for quality measurement and improvement activities. The position is a part-time position and works in collaboratively with the multidisciplinary and operations teams to accomplish job and quality activities.

This position requires an active Maryland RN license and is a part time teleworking role, working 4 hours a day, Monday-Friday. You must reside in the Maryland area.

What you will do:

  • Processes and utilizes data to analyze, monitor, and report performance using various databases and information systems (e.g., LTSS, CARMA, CRISP).
  • Populates, analyzes, and maintains information in The Center’s performance management reporting system (i.e., Stoplights Reports) and contractor reporting system per established timeframe with the support of QIOM team members.
  • Identifies issues and trends using program and department related data and information. Conducts root cause analyses to support problem-solving or the intervention planning process, as needed. Notifies the Director, QIOM, or designee of identified trends, issues and/or concerns in a timely manner.
  • In concert with the Director, QIOM, and with the multidisciplinary team to develop improvement strategies/projects and support implementation, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting of improvement activities.
  • Engages critical thinking in all aspects of their role. Engages nursing practice to guide quality analysis methodology, prioritization, and development/implementation of follow-up and/or improvement activities to promote positive client and program outcomes.
  • Uses statistical tools and processes to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in simple /complex data sets and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops and utilizes dashboards, reports, infographics, presentations, and/or conducts 1:1 and group interactions to share information (as needed).
  • Develops and conducts various audit activities to assess adherence with care management, organizational, and accreditation standards/expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Registered nurse with an active, unencumbered license in the State of Maryland.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or allied health curriculum, or relevant field of study required.
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience in quality improvement, case management monitoring, and utilization review with specific expertise in developing and implementing performance measures.
  • Expertise in research methodology, data analysis, database management, and outcomes studies.
  • Able to use multiple healthcare information platforms at State and National level.
  • Understanding the core elements of case management, care coordination, transitions of care, and related processes relevant to the organization's dynamic services.
