Full Job Description

Periwinklers LLC is seeking an experienced Working Foreman with expertise in Commercial Architectural Millwork to lead our shop team. This role requires mastery in custom woodworking, with a focus on projects for restaurants, distilleries, bars, as well as wall and ceiling installations. The successful candidate will manage complex carpentry projects from concept to installation, ensuring craftsmanship that meets high artistic and functional standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Oversee and participate in the construction and installation of custom millwork for various commercial projects.
Review and interpret plans, designs, and blueprints, creating precise cut lists and organizing project workflows.
Operate CNC machines and traditional wood shop tools and machines with proficiency.
Lead and train teams in safe operation practices; act as the safety expert onsite.
Maintain detailed documentation of all work, including compliance with safety and design specifications.
Manage material selection and procurement to ensure project efficiency.
Build jigs, joinery, and molding setups for complex projects.
Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity and quality.

The ideal candidate should possess:

5 years of experience in woodworking shop settings, with a portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
Strong background in cabinet building and using industrial shapers with jigs and fixtures.
Experience in metalworking and welding is advantageous.
Proficiency with CNC operation and familiarity with all woodworking tools and machines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and instruct a team.
Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or vocational training in a related field preferred.
Certifications such as OSHA 10 and Forklift operation preferred or willingness to undergo training.
Experience in planning and estimating millwork projects and familiarity with AWI standards.
Ability to pass background checks and maintain a valid driver's license.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to being a team player and leader.

Full time 8 hour shift
