The Consortium of Jewish Day Schools is Hiring an Early Childhood Hebrew Immersion Teacher 2024-2025 Near Stamford, CT

We are currently seeking a Hebrew Immersion teacher for early childhood for the 2024-25 academic year.

Experience and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree education or a related field

  • Knowledge of Hebrew at native level.

  • Understands Israeli preschool culture, including familiarity with songs, art and foods

  • Ability to create interactive lessons about holidays and Jewish values 

  • A solid understanding of child development, varied learning styles, and effective strategies for dealing with such differences

  • Commitment to professional development.

  • Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor

  • Well-developed, effective classroom management skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

  • Works well in a collaborative model with other administrators, teachers and parents

  • Ability to engage and inspire students, parents, and families

  • Experience with Chalav U'dvash program a plus.
