Responsibilities

• The Spa Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Spa Manager in the day-to-day operations of the spa facility.
• Ensures the highest level of customer service, managing spa staff, overseeing administrative tasks, and maintaining the facility's cleanliness and organization.
• Creates a relaxing and rejuvenating experiences for guests while also supporting the business goals of the spa.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in the The Spa, according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Responsible for managing the operations and financial stability of the spa.
• Responsible for monitoring the spa budget and assuring expenditures are in alignment.
• To oversee the day-to-day operations of the spa’s services and programs.
• To ensure the experience for both guests and staff of the spa is of the highest caliber.
• Develop, present, and maintain the spa’s annual budget, within the guidelines as approved.
• Project and maintain acceptable payroll commitments per Spa Director.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training spa staff.
• Use financial plans for spotting trends, measuring productivity and monitoring progress.
• Control ongoing service and product margin analysis to ensure profitability.
• Implement opportunities for managing operational costs and increasing the bottom-line profitability.
• Maintain accurate records of spa bookings, payments, and guest information.
• Address any staff performance issues or conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare reports on spa performance, including revenue, occupancy rates, and customer feedback.
• Assist in developing and implementing spa policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Administer staff and client scheduling for maximum revenue generation and profitability.
• Deal with any guest requests and problems and satisfy their needs.
• Be familiar with cultural differences to meet all different customer needs.
• Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules, and standards.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented
• Experience of min. 3 years on management in the spa industry
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
• Flexibility to become cross-trained in other spa functions/services.
• Additional wellness/massage credentials such as Reiki, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral, Aromatherapy, Hammam a plus. Yoga or exercise background a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
• Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
