Greenbriar Sand, LLC is growing, and we want you to grow with us! We are looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators. The heavy equipment operator is responsible for efficiently operating a variety of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment in the plant, including water truck, haul truck, dozers, loaders and excavators.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining within the company guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment.
• Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation.
• Read and understand dredge pressure, vacuum and flow gauges.
• Perform pre and post inspection of work areas.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and report needed repairs to the Manager/Foreman.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance - tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper function.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Experience:

Requirements:

• Experience operating heavy equipment in mining environment preferred.
• Must be safety conscious, dependable and motivated.
• Will take an active role in plant safety initiatives.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Willing to cross-train in different areas of production.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to operate dredge and complete maintenance as needed is preferred.
• knowledge of hydraulic systems and ability to weld is a plus.
• able to work cooperatively with others toward a shared goal, contribute actively to the team efforts, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team.
• Possess effective coordination and communication skills.
• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to adhere to MSHA guidelines and plant safety policies and procedures.
