*Gotham Companies* is seeking a compassionate and experienced Homecare Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care to a medically fragile patient requiring care in a home care setting. As a trusted member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our young patient with specific medical needs.
*\*\*\*FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING WITH 12 HOUR SHIFTS [NON-NEGOTIABLE] *
Responsibilities:
* Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric, adolescent and/or geriatric patients who may require vent monitoring, trach care, GT feeds, wound care, constant cardiopulmonary monitoring, etc.
* Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform ongoing assessments to ensure proper patient care..
* Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and families to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
* Help to educate caregivers on maintenance, complications, and emergency procedures.
* Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patient's progress, treatments, and any changes in their condition.
* Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring a comfortable and nurturing environment.
Requirements:
* *Current and unrestricted NYS state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).*
* *Minimum of 2 years of skilled nursing experience*
* *Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Preferred*
* *At least 2-3 years of homecare experience *
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to handle complex medical situations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Compassionate and patient-focused approach towards pediatric patients and their families.
