The Family Specialist offers child care information and referrals to parents, technical support to child care providers, maintains current provider information on the database, and provides income and eligibility assessment to consumers.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Counsel eligible consumers about guidelines to secure child care financial assistance (CCFA)
• Calculate CCFA intake and eligibility for consumers;
• Issue child care financial assistance subsidies
• Manage a caseload of consumers;
• Maintain accurate records related to consumers;
• Counsel child care programs looking for technical assistance in the provision of CCFA;
• Use of proprietary software
• All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

• Must possess the qualifications required for their positions in accordance with EEC regulations;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to multi-task and work within a fast paced environment;
• Must be well organized with satisfactory computer skills;
• Previous customer service experience is preferred;
• Ability to travel locally;
• Background in child care and/or bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
