Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Patient Care Multi-Skilled Technician Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and a passion for teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training and instruction to students enrolled in our Patient Care Multi-Skilled Technician program. This role requires excellent communication skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement curriculum for the Patient Care Multi-Skilled Technician program, ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational objectives.

2. Deliver engaging and interactive classroom instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles.

3. Facilitate hands-on laboratory sessions and clinical simulations to provide students with practical experience and skills mastery.

4. Supervise and evaluate students' performance during laboratory activities and clinical rotations, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.

5. Create and administer assessments, quizzes, and examinations to measure students' understanding and retention of course material.

6. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress, adhering to institutional policies and regulations.

7. Collaborate with program directors, faculty members, and clinical partners to coordinate clinical placements and ensure a seamless learning experience for students.

8. Stay current on developments and advancements in healthcare education, incorporating evidence-based practices and emerging trends into curriculum design and instruction.

9. Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, offering guidance on career pathways, professional development, and licensure requirements.

10. Participate in faculty meetings, departmental committees, and professional development activities to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the program and promote a culture of excellence.

11. Serve as a positive role model and advocate for student success, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

Qualifications:

1. Certificate, degree, or post-secondary education and relative experience to meet state (TWC) and accreditation requirements. One to two years’ experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution. Certification, registry, and/or licensure in field of instruction approved and recognized by state regulation agency and accrediting organization. Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred.

3. Minimum of three years of clinical experience in patient care settings, with experience in multi-skilled technician roles preferred.

4. Previous teaching or instructional experience in healthcare education, vocational training, or similar settings strongly preferred.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.

6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

7. Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems (LMS), with the ability to integrate technology into teaching practices.

8. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that values diversity, equity, and cultural competence.

9. Flexibility to adapt to evolving educational needs and instructional methodologies, with a willingness to embrace innovation and change.

10. Dedication to upholding professional standards and ethical principles in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
