Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor. We are a home decor shop in the Valencia Town Center.
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide them with a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels
- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
- Upsell products to increase sales revenue
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking merchandise and tidying displays
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of retail math principles for pricing and discounts
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems for processing transactions
- Ability to upsell products to increase sales revenue
- Proficiency in operating a cash register accurately
