Kingston Youth Programs Manager

Status: Full time

Salary Position: Pay rate $23.00-$25.00 hourly

Reports to: Area Director of Youth Programs Kitsap

Direct Reports: Geographic business and community development staff and the community

Purpose: To coordinate with business and community development staff for The Coffee Oasis to strategize the growth of a geographic location. To oversee youth programming and communicate problematic issues for an area and seek to establish a budget to provide area needs. Be the public face for youth programs in a geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Meeting operational goals and objectives, informing the organization of current research and information relevant to the programs.
• Training and screening adult volunteers
• Ensuring that every At-risk and homeless youth (ages 13-25) in the geographic area knows about the Coffee Oasis and other community resources!
• Supervise and train staff and volunteers to become experts
• Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, vehicles, and resources for outreach
• Develop a budget and financial goals for the geographic area
• Seek to understand the local community and culture
• Development, implementation, and expansion of program vision in the geographic area
• Be present for grant site visits and ensure that grant requirements are met
• Advocate and impact community and policy for homeless youth
• Be the Public face for Programs in the community for The Coffee Oasis
• Oversee reporting for programs in area

Qualifications

1. Experienced and demonstrated ability to work with youth and communicate to youth culture

2. Leadership experience in a professional environment

3. Professionalism to connect with schools and other public and community organizations

4. BA in psychology or related fields and at least two years’ experience in management
