Reports To: Beverage Manager; Food and Beverage Director

Position Description: The position of Host/Hostess’ job objective is to create a club atmosphere where absolute satisfaction is our highest priority. The position greets, seats, and accommodates Members and their Guests with a pleasant demeanor and assists all servers and runners with the overall operation of the Dining Rooms.

Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Food and Beverage Director, the Host/Hostess job position is responsible for the following:

• Arrive on time, in proper uniform and ready to work.
• Complete assigned opening side work in an efficient manner.
• Maintains the seating chart. Knowing how many covers each server has, to ensure accurate cover counts in conjunction with knowing times of tables to ensure proper service.
• Communicate all changes and walk-ins to the appropriate party: i.e. Captains, Manager and Servers to ensure seamless service. Enter walk-ins into the Northstar system.
• Assists servers with setting of all tables according to reservations
• During the summer, responsible for back up table tents on the outside dining tables.
• Set up all bridge tables according to reservations - with special requests in mind. 
• Set/refresh bridge self-service table with fresh ice water, tea, coffee – regular, decaf, cream, lemons, and maintains full levels throughout the shift - checking at random.
• Answers the telephone and takes appropriate information for reservations - transfers phones as needed.
• Greets and seats in a friendly, pleasant and accommodating manner using members’ and guests’ names; adjusting set-ups and numbers of seats, when needed. Marking the member book prior to service in order to identify members.
• Helps to refills all beverages throughout shift. Maintains ice levels - especially in the summer months. (ice, water, coffee, teas)
• Assists all runners, servers with breaking down the dining rooms as needed.
• Perform closing side work duties in an efficient manner.
• Checks out with Manager prior to leaving
• All other tasks assigned by Beverage Manager and F&B Director. Be flexible and adapting to various events, locations and tasks depending on the requirements of the day.

Interact with others by taking actions that consider the feelings and needs of others. Be aware of the impact of one’s own behavior on others.

Compensation/Benefits:

• This position is an hourly, seasonal position that will be starting at $13.00 - $15.00 (based on experience), per hour bi-weekly. 
• The company provides all employees Paid Sick Leave, which is accrued on hours worked.
