The Club at 12 Oaks is Hiring a Catering Director (FT) Near Holly Springs, NC

Concert Golf Partners is currently searching for potential Director of Catering as we continue our growth as one of the industry’s leading owner operator of premier Country Club. The Director of Catering is responsible for overseeing and generate sales of weddings and other private events and works closely with and provides support to the rest of the F&B department in the coordination and execution of all private and member events:
A summary of job responsibilities involved in the position are the following, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate all aspects of social, member and business events.
  • Greet member and clients upon arrival and reconfirm all banquet function for the day
  • Prepare, create and organize Banquet contracts for social and corporate events: e.g. wedding, engagement, bridal showers company meetings, etc.
  • Prepares and ensures accuracy of weekly Banquet Function package for distribution.
  • Give facility tours to prospective clients
  • Create and maintain Club information kits, meetings packages, etc.
  • Coordinate events orders with kitchen on daily and weekly basis.
  • Handle all clients concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build a strong working relationship with all other department leaders.
  • Networking inside and outside the Club to obtain "leads" and build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Work with Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director to establish profitable and competitive event menus that meet the client's needs.
  • Provided accurate forecasting of event sales.
  • Obtain feedback from member/host to insure satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Membership Department in obtaining information on new Members and their needs through New Member telephone calls
  • Assist in the smooth execution of service in Banquets, offering the highest level of service and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate professionalism along with a positive and outgoing attitude at all times, and lead by example.
  • Maintain proper liquor controls.
  • Comply with and support all existing policies, procedures, expectations and service standards.
  • Create 3 new sales and marketing strategies bi annually to grow sales to exceed budget.
  • Establish 3 goals and objectives that relate to overall sales performance that exceed catering budget
Job Requirements:
Mandatory:
  • Experience in a similar role or position.
  • Previous background or experience in the hospitality industry a plus.
  • Must have exceptional time management skills, with ability to prioritize.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Must have proven ability to provide excellent customer service ability to "wow" our guests and provide an unforgettable experience for them.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (Week-ends required).
  • Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
  • Must have computer software aptitude.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Must have knowledge of Food and Beverage.
  • Strong communicator and the ability to train and motivate employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Pleasant personality with good communication skills, proper service techniques and the ability to work under pressure. Attention to details and knowledge of P.O.S.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
