Under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Manager and Recreation Supervisors, the Recreation Program Coordinator will enhance the quality of life for all residents and foster individual and community in all aspects of physical, mental, social and environmental through recreational opportunities. 

 Plymouth Park & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs and classes throughout the year. This position will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with recreation programs and special events. Including but not limited to supervising, training and hiring seasonal staff, budgeting and providing front-office assistance. Programs may include: Sports Programs, Leagues, Gym Scheduling, Open Gym Programs, Special Events, Rentals, Outdoor Rinks, etc.

 This is a year-round, part-time position working 29 hours/week that includes daytime, evening and weekend hours.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Must have previous Parks and Recreation employment experience.
• Must be a current student or have a degree in Education, Recreation Management, Parks, Recreation and Tourism, Sports Management or related field.

Desired Qualifications

• Current Red Cross Certifications in CPR and First Aid
