Pay Range: $53,143 – $66,428 annually

A Business Process Analyst I – Technology Support position is available with the City of Fort Worth Fire Department. This team provides technology services used by Fire Department personnel, as well as supporting the software, hardware, audio/video, and varied IT equipment used in the fire stations and training facilities throughout the City of Fort Worth and our neighborhood partner stations.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Candidate selected for hire must pass a Criminal Background Check for CJIS.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in hardware/software asset management.
• Experience troubleshooting and fixing issues related to computer hardware, software, and operating systems including Microsoft Windows computers, MacOS computers, mobile devices and tables, Microsoft Office, and other common business productivity software.
• Experience in implementation, installation, and support of audio/video hardware and software technologies.

The Business Process Analyst I – Technology Support job responsibilities include:

• Provides technical support for end users consisting of all Fire personnel and partners in a timely and courteous manner remotely and in person.
• Receives, documents, diagnoses, and resolves incoming customer requests for application, software, hardware, and telephone support for Fire Department systems.
• When problems cannot be resolved, makes skilled assessments and documents problems for escalation.
• Manages asset tracking, procurement, and replacement for hardware and software. 
• Diagnoses problems and replaces hardware equipment at various remote sites, a combination of remote and on-site work at various fire stations and City facilities.
• Support of training room and conference room audio/video equipment (Mersive, Cisco/WebEx, Crestron, Extron).
• Engaging with and tracking internal and external vendors to provide products and services in support of Fire Department technology endeavors.

Working Conditions:

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
