Duties & Responsibilities:

As Store Manager, you will oversee and manage all areas of the space, working collaboratively with the team to make final decisions on matters of importance. Your role will require you to be the in-house expert on cigars, training and developing staff on their knowledge, and ensuring that guests receive a consistently exceptional experience.

You will be responsible for maintaining a professional brand image, including store cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for cash handling and banking, providing staff support, and ensuring that the team is proficient in all systems, including Clover POS and Thrive Inventory Management System.

In your role, you will oversee the opening and closing of the retail store and lounge, managing shifts, including daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness. You will be tasked with investigating and resolving complaints concerning drink quality and service, assist with ordering to achieve cost targets while maintaining availability of items, and manage staff productivity and labor.

You will also support training initiatives by working with the trainer and trainees, manage product storage and rotation, conduct sanitation audits and work with the Cigar Box NC to execute action plans, and perform inventory counting, inputting, and analysis.

As a manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the hiring of line level employees, conducting interviews, and orienting new employees. You will be responsible for the development and accountability of fellow managers and employees and will manage local human resources processes, including discipline and policy enforcement.

You will conduct regular financial reporting and analysis in support of the Operations Manager and assist the Operations Manager in adhering to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including cigar, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs. You will also have a strong understanding of all reports, metrics, and labor forecasting and support all local accounting and personnel/payroll related administrative duties.

In your role, you will enforce team member compliance with company policies and procedures, complete accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured and provide a strong presence in the local community and a high level of community involvement by the venue and personnel.

Requirements:

- 1 years’ experience in a guest-facing hospitality role, cigar experience preferred.

- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

- Ability to climb a 6-foot ladder.

- Ability to balance & carry multiple cigar boxes, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
