Type: Full-time

Position Purpose:

Live-In role, preparing young women ages 18-21 who have aged out of foster care to prepare for adulthood, including obtaining employment, life skills, and educational goals.

Job Specific Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of college or a high school diploma
• Minimum 21 years of age

Responsibilities:

• Driving students to appointments
• Lives on site with/next to SIL students
• Guide and advise on processes of adulthood such as, but not limited to, driving, making appointments, going to school/work, preparing resumes, attending job interviews, etc.

General Qualifications for All Employees of The Children’s Home of Lubbock:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to read, write and communicate with co-workers, medical personnel and other persons necessary to care for the young adult’s needs.
• Have a Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Exhibit behavior and health status that does not present a danger to young adult in care.
• Meet the requirements of licensing standards in regards to a criminal background check.
• Have a record of tuberculosis screening showing the employee is free of contagious TB.
• Be physically, mentally and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned tasks.
• Commit to the seven values of Sanctuary: Non-Violence, Emotional Intelligence, Social Learning, Democracy, Open Communication, Social Responsibility, and Growth and Change.
• Complete a notarized Licensing Affidavit for Applicants for Employment

Applicants must submit the last five years of employment history.
