Overview:
Come join our team as a dedicated NM Pre-K Educational Assistant Teacher in a 5-star FOCUS & NECPA Accredited center! Join us in making a difference in the lives of young learners. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for Early Childhood Education to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for our NM Pre-K students!
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum to engage Pre-K children in learning opportunities
- Create a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Foster social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through interactive play and educational experiences
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to families
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support each child's individual needs and growth
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Child Development Certificate (CDC) or an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education plus continuing education working towards a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
- NM Pre-K Program requires 12 credit hours towards a degree in Early Childhood Education for the school year
- Previous experience working with Pre-K children in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in Early Childhood Education
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children
