The Children's Circle provides DOE services to many families with emotional challenges or have medical conditions that may need extra care. TCC is a multi-cultural agency that provides services in several languages taking into consideration the cultural diversity of New York City. We are looking for Direct Support Professional to provide the following services in the home or in the community of the assigned case.

Support Services

Caregiver family advocacy support services. We merge our deep understanding of family dynamics, child development, advocacy, and community resources to turn your desires for a more balanced family life into a feasible reality. At The Childrens Circle our skilled team of professionals combines the vast experience with innovative methods to provide an environment that nurtures and supports the entire family unit. Our CFASS program ensures that the families are not just coping but thriving, armed with the knowledge and resources necessary to navigate the complex landscape of child development and healthcare. We believe in sculpting experiences that uplift and empower families, promoting balanced dynamics and increase understanding.

Our In-Home Respite service provide a relief for the caregiver while our professional Respite Staff engages the individual in productive activities, which will enhance skills building needed for independent living.

Cases are located in all five boroughs of New York City

: Responsibilities
- Support individuals in their home or community settings
- Promote independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities
- Ensure the rights and dignity of individuals are respected at all times
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in, childcare, or a related field is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client locations
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Knowledge of resident rights and ability to advocate for individuals' needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
