Location: Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Westchester County
Shift: Morning, Afternoon, and Overnight
Pay rate: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr (weekly payment)
Job Description
• Provide habilitation services to each client as prescribed in that client's service plans (CFA, Individual Service plan, Habilitation plan)
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as preparing food, personal hygiene, and cleaning
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
• Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights, etc. in various settings
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1-year previous experience providing one on one direct care required with the developmentally disabled population
• Ability to stay alert and always awake; use a computer for data entry
• Must obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification, TB Testing, and OPWDD Orientation before starting work
• Must be willing to assist with tasks that require lifting and standing for long periods of time
