Teaching Assistant
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities
- Provide support to students with their academic work, including individual or small group instruction
- Assist in classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Help supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional periods
- Assist with behavior management and implementing strategies to promote positive behavior
- Support students with special needs or learning disabilities as directed by the lead teacher
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
Skills:
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors and maintain a calm and patient demeanor
- Organizational skills to assist with lesson preparation and classroom materials management
- Knowledge of classroom technology and software applications used for instruction
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide differentiated instruction as needed
