The Children's Center of Knoxville, Inc. is Hiring a Childcare Center Coordinator Near Knoxville, TN

Job Summary:

The CCK Center Coordinator will be an active member of the administration unit supporting the growth and development of the student, employee, volunteer, and client culture and well-being. This team member will be a self-starter and problem solver who can manage multiple tasks in an ever-changing workspace. The Center Coordinator (CC) will collaborate with the Executive Director (ED) and Family Services Coordinator (FSC) to execute the CCK vision for a diverse learning environment that builds upon each child’s uniqueness and where employees thrive. Essential Functions and Duties:

· Oversite of DHS childcare licensing requirements, rules, and regulations.

· In collaboration with the FSC, assist with managing attendance records, monthly service statistics, and state reimbursement forms.

· Maintain employee files and ensure that personnel files are complete and meet DHS and state requirements.

· Manage advertising and hiring center employees and collaboratively work with the FSC to onboard, evaluate, set professional growth goals, and conduct exit interviews.

· New employee onboarding, evaluation, setting professional growth goals, and exit interviews.

· Manage staff schedules with the FSC weekly to ensure ratios are always met.

· Support center staff, overseeing coverage.

· Oversite of daily maintenance and monthly/yearly building and ground safety inspections, scheduling contractors for repairs, supply ordering etc. as needed.

· Receive and manage all routine telephone calls, give out information about the program, greet visitors, and conduct tours in the absence of the FSC.

· Collaboratively review policies, procedures, employee needs, family concerns, etc., with the ED and FSC monthly or as needed.

· Assist with developing materials, programs, and activities for employees, families, and volunteers that educate, challenge, and push boundaries toward a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive work and learning environment.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Experience and Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in organizational leadership, business management, educational leadership, or other related fields, or Director’s Credential, or Equivalent Field related work experience.

· A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with staff development, particularly in an educational setting.

· Prior experience in early education administration or child-related social services agency.

· Prior experience working with the DHS, childcare licensing requirements, and community organizations that provide advocacy and funding services to children and families.

· Demonstrates strong program design and management skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and experience supervising, guiding, and evaluating employees.

· Ability to maintain positive relationships with children, families, coworkers, and board members.

· Preferred skills in change management, conflict mediation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

· Strong organizational skills including planning, delegating, and program development.

· Excellent computer skills and familiarity with varying platforms and technology for presentations, social media, document building, and training (standard office equipment, Microsoft Office, Prezi, Canva, Google Workspace, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
