About the Opportunity:
Join a dynamic hotel team in Ankeny, IA, as a General Manager. This role involves leading the business unit to ensure efficient and profitable operation, overseeing financial performance, and providing leadership to staff members.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the business unit's overall financial performance, including Revenue Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Handling, and Purchasing
• Develop and manage operating budgets in collaboration with subordinate managers and Director of Operations
• Lead recruitment, hiring, training, development, and orientation of all employees
• Provide leadership for all staff members and oversee employee relations

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree (AA) and 3-4 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and 2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts such as budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints
• Proficiency in developing and implementing safety programs for employees and guests
