Set in the luxurious Adirondack-style Main Lodge of The Chatwal Lodge, Catskills, our Servers/ Bartender is responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations on both food and beverage.

Candidates should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar and restaurant. Candidates should also be comfortable developing and maintaining extensive menu knowledge and handling guest dietary restrictions and allergies with the utmost care and attention to detail. This position offers opportunity for casual conversation, creativity and allows for building on one’s style and previous server/bartending experience.

As a boutique, luxury property with 11 keys, the Food & Beverage team at The Chatwal Lodge is a tight-knit and dynamic group and utilizes team-style service each day. Candidates will be expected to participate in all areas of food and beverage service, running food and drinks, taking the lead on serving tables, as well as participating in the execution of the nightly wine pairing. Interested applicants enthusiastic to learn should not be deterred; training in all areas of the Food & Beverage department will be provided to the benefit of expanding your skillset and elevating the service we are able to provide our guests.

Pay Range: $24.00- $25.00; this is a non- tipped role with an all-inclusive resort.

• Must have a High School Degree or Equivalent
• Must have Driver’s License
• Restaurant/ Banquets experience preferred.
• ServeSafe Preferred.
• TIPS certified Preferred.
• Bartender’s certification Preferred. Candidates must have understanding of state and local serving guidelines.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand long period of time and walk long distances.
• Must be willing to become First Aid & CPR Certified
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Ensure detailed knowledge of menu and appropriate wine pairing.
• When complete, retrieve order from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, and deliver to guests along with appropriate condiments.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards and guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Buss, Clear and reset tables.
• Mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
• Maintains current knowledge of the Chatwal Lodge culture, amenities, and services, events in the area, points of interest.
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property’s cash handling policy
• All other tasks and duties as assigned.
