The Center for Children and Families is Hiring a Community Engagement Specialist Near Clinton, MS
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, community development, or a related field.
- Proven experience in community engagement, outreach, or public relations roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of community resources, organizations, and stakeholders in the target area.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and outreach activities.
- Commitment to the organization's mission and values.
- Passion for our community & the work of The Center
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to increase awareness of the organization's mission and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and residents to foster partnerships and collaborations.
- Plan and execute community events, workshops, and outreach activities to engage with target audiences.
- Coordinate volunteer programs and opportunities to involve community members in the organization's activities.
- Conduct outreach to underrepresented or marginalized communities to ensure inclusivity and accessibility of services.
- Create and distribute promotional materials, newsletters, and social media content to communicate with the community.
- Collect and analyze feedback from community members to assess the effectiveness of engagement efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide support to other departments or teams within the organization as needed to advance community engagement goals.
- Maintain accurate records of community engagement activities, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
- Stay informed about local issues, trends, and developments that may impact the community and the organization's work.
- $500 per week stipend
