Job Purpose Statement:

This position is responsible for ensuring that all shipping documents and transactions are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. May also assist in the planning, preparing, issuing and control of production schedules and material requirements.

Summary of Responsibility:

• Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents
• Enter data pertaining to domestic and international shipments into the company’s ERP system and into the shipping systems of commercial freight carriers.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick-up of goods
• Will be responsible for all outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations
• Will prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures
• Meet/maintain safety standards for the work area and machinery in operation
• Meet established quality standards and time requirements/demands
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Promptly, accurately, professionally and courteously assess all of received calls/inquiries and directs or records and relays messages to others.
• Assists in resolving any discrepancies
• Ensure good security processes are followed with regard to CTPAT requirements.
• Plans and monitors daily outbound loads.
• Resolves problems by collecting and analyzing information and coordinating solutions with departments/managers
• Prepares work area with the necessary items to ensure efficient and accurate process flow
• Assist in warehouse areas as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by supporting 5S activities
• Complete necessary management reports as required
• Other assigned duties
• Process domestic and international orders from JD Edwards E1 software.
• Book all truckload and less-than-truckload freight 24 hours in advance of the scheduled ship date via Navisphere and various customer websites.
• Receive, transfer, and ship Bobcat and U-Haul tires to and from an offsite warehouse.
• Receive all pneumatic tires from plant 123 into plant 154 for pneumatic production.
• Coordinate all pneumatic tire shipments to Carlstar DC’s throughout the US and Canada.
• Create bills of lading, pick tickets, custom papers, packing slips, and shipping labels.
• Complete ASNs for John Deere and Case New Holland.
• Track late shipments and respond to all customer freight related issues.
• Set up expedited shipments as needed.
• Process and schedule scrap shipments to Mac’s Tire and Specialty Processing.
• Respond to customers, carriers, and customer service on all shipping inquiries.
• Ship confirm orders daily.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• High School Diploma
• 5 year related experience of manufacturing and/or machinery operation experience, materials control or shipping/receiving - Preferred
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment while meeting production and quality goals
• Must have above average computer skills
