Job Duties:

• Runs and manages grids and daily reports including timecard audits, efficiency reports, and others, as needed to ensure proper job time and standards management.
• Acts as a back-up for machines in the department including saws, flame-cut machine, laser machine, as well as the nesting process.
• Oversees timely cycle counts and works with the Planners to ensure accurate counts are updated. Also contacts the Planning group when stock levels in ERP do no coincide with actual inventory on the shelves.
• Creates and maintains work instructions for all processes in the SSC.
• Supports continuous improvement and LEAN efforts.
• Demonstrates the Caldwell Company Values in all work activities.
• Maintains and enforces a safe work environment. Trash and debris are removed throughout the day and clear aisles are maintained.
• Addresses defective tools and equipment.
• Complies with all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum High School or equivalent education
• Minimum 2 years experience operating flame cutting table, laser equipment and/or saw equipment.
• One year forklift experience
• One year crane operation experience
• One year supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proven ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to use hand and measuring tools including tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
• PC proficiency required

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk, and use repetitive hand/wrist motion; occasionally required to twist/turn, stoop/bend, squat, reach with hands and arm, use forearm rotation, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Vision corrected to near 20/20 required.

Pay: $29.42 - $44.13 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
• Blueprint reading: 2 years (Required)
• flame cutter, laser and/or saw operating: 2 years (Required)
