Job Title: Data Analyst II

Reports to: Information Technology Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Division: Pineville, NC

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for requirements gathering, report development, implementation, and maintenance of business-critical reports. Some low-level database maintenance tasks will be expected. If you have a strong background in data analysis, structured query language (SQL), and report design we want to hear from you!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Help Desk Support

  • Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout.
  • Support various departments, including finance, accounting, and sales, in reaching their goals through analysis.
  • Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends.
  • Create reports and develop tools and processes to automate reports.
  • Analyze large amounts of data relating to sales, customers, or financial performance.
  • Use Structured Query Language (SQL) and other coding languages to extract data.
  • Align reports to business objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with other business areas and leaders to identify reporting needs.
  • Access existing databases and create processes for storage of new data.
  • Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by management

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • One to three years of experience as a financial or business analyst.
  • One to three years of experience developing SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics, object-oriented programming, and other data analysis programs preferred.
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs, and charts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
  • Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results.
  • General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and information flow.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, finance, economics or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with data analysis and report writing.
  • SSRS and Crystal Reports Experience highly preferred.
