Job Title: Project Manager / Sales – Contract & Design DivisionReports to:Director of Contract & DesignLocation:Hours:Milwaukee, WI / Madison, WI 8:00-5:00pm JOB SUMMARYThe Boelter Companies, a national and growing supplier of commercial kitchen equipment, is seeking to fill a full time Project Manager position selling commercial foodservice equipment projects in the Wisconsin market. The Project Manager is responsible to plan, manage, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of installation for foodservice equipment packages. They seek out and sell to public and privately funded projects. Customers will include architects, general contractors, and a variety of foodservice operators. The ideal candidate must have construction based project management experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESDesign, specify and sell Foodservice Equipment Packages.Ability to read blueprints and understand layouts/designsPreparation of project quotes in AutoQuotes.Review bid and contract documents to ensure contract requirements are being metSupports estimating efforts for new projects; Provides pre-bid inspections, obtains field measurements as needed, attends project meetings, scope reviews, and site inspections. Review manufacturers’ quotes, equipment releases, and approve shop drawings for custom/fabrication items, purchase orders, color selections, and utility information to release equipment timely, accurately, and within budgetBasic working knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbingCollaborate with Project Coordinators ensuring timely communication on job progress and follow upManage & oversee job installations including the coordination of equipment loads for timely arrivalManage change orders by providing change proposals, RFI's and review bulletins for any required changes to equipment, Coordinate changes in the field with contractor and other impacted tradesReview and supports project billings.Track and control project costsAddress warranty issues in a professional and timely manner working closely with the Project Coordinators.Attend corporate events, internal meetings, conferences, and training as required. This may include NAFEM, NRA, AND NexGen Training Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong relationship building skills with customers, general contractors, architects, manufacturers, vendors, and other trades Must be comfortable with jobsite conditionsSelf-Motivated – ability to work independently, take the lead on problem solving, planning tasks, and proactively managing project responsibilitiesAbility to work on multiple projects at one time. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree or one to three years of related experience. Previous experience with Design and Project Management. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoQuotes and HubSpot. Must have high level of interpersonal skills and continually demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy. PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift (10 lbs.), and an ability to adjust vision for close vision work.
