Description :

We are looking for a responsible, energetic, detail-oriented Event Set up Team Member. This team member would be responsible to schedule room use, set up spaces with seating, AV equip, tables and other items as requested.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Dining Services / Catering Manager and is non-exempt from overtime pay.

Assists with set-ups and break-downs for Campus events

Runs for set-up supplies as needed.

Read and understand event set-up requisitions and work orders and determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and / or set-up.

Moving materials and items to and from storage areas and event locations or other designated areas.

Sorting and placing materials or items on racks or shelves.

Completing room requisition forms from other departments.

Sweeping, dusting, and mopping of rooms if necessary.

Organizing storage areas and work area for orderliness at all times.

Requirements :

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Must have valid Drivers License

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions consistent with scope of job duties.

Must demonstrate ability to work as a member of a team.

Must be able to operate courteously, efficiently, and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Works indoors and outdoors, often in adverse weather conditions.

Frequent movement of heavy equipment and supplies, many in excess of 50 pounds.

Frequent changes of position throughout the work-day, IE : sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling.

May be required to work occasional overtime, including call-backs, possibly on weekends.

Holiday work may be required.
