The Bean Barn Espresso is Hiring a Barista Near Wasilla, AK

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages to our customers. Your friendly demeanor and attention to detail will ensure that each customer receives an exceptional experience at our coffee shop.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, espresso, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate the cash register and handle monetary transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee bar, dining area, and restrooms
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist in food preparation, such as assembling sandwiches or pastries
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or complaints
- Upsell additional products or menu items to increase sales

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee varieties is a plus
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions for beverage preparation
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines for proper handling of food products
