The Beachwaver Co. is Hiring an Office Manager - Beachwaver Brooklyn Near Brooklyn, NY

The Beachwaver Co. is a rapidly expanding independent global beauty brand. Dedicatd to innovation, we hold multiple patents, trademarks and proprietary formulas. We have expanded from a launch at QVC in 2012 to retail distributio, with a pivot to focus on D2C. Now we are seeking to continue the high growht trajectory with the addition of a Brooklyn based Marketing, Social, and Events office. This office, in the beautiful Domino Sugar building, will provide a location for unique salon, social, and marketing events and content creation. The Office Manager role will be instrumental in the success of this dynamic space and team. The Office Manager will set the professional tone of the company for guests and employees, maintain the office by organizing office operations and procedures, prepare payroll information, control correspondence, design filing systems, review and approve supply requisitions, and perform, assign and monitor clerical functions with a salon/haircare focus.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing the work of all office employees to ensure they work productively and meet deadlines and company standards.
  • • Opening and closing the office every day.
  • Maintain organization and inventory of the salon, office, and events spaces.
  • Counseling any employees struggling in their roles and coordinating with the HR department.
  • Reporting payroll items as needed to the HR department and tracking attendance.
  • Receiving and reception for the office including answering telephone calls and emails from customers and clients and directing them to relevant staff.
  • Creating an office budget approved by leadership and ensuring all employees follow it.
  • Monitoring office supplies and ordering new stationery, furniture, appliances, and electronics as required/approved.
  • •Interviewing and training new office employees and organizing their employment paperwork.
  • Organizing maintenance and utility companies to service the office keeping it in good working order, clean and safe. Keeping the office organized and clean in between
  • Reporting office progress to senior management and working with them to improve office operations and procedures.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1-2 years of management experience
  • Knowledge of Office Administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
  • Hands on experience with office machines (e.g., fax machines and printers
  • Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Email Scheduler and Boomerang
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with the ability to suggest improvements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • In-person
