Description
Position Summary: The Barker Adoption Foundation is seeking a licensed MSW to serve as the Adoption Counselor & Clinical Support Specialist in our Domestic Infant Program. This is a full-time position that provides a range of support services in the domestic adoption department including clinical support to adoptive families and counseling support to expectant parents. The person in this position assists with general clinical program support including resource identification, family meeting, the matching process, as well as works closely with the Director of Domestic Adoption Programs in providing overall clinical support for the program.
Requirements
This position includes scheduled on-call duties & requires a significant amount of flexibility along with strong assessment, writing and communication skills. This is a full-time position located in Bethesda, MD, with a hybrid work schedule available. Applicants must have reliable transportation, ability to work some evenings and weekends, and willingness to travel to see clients throughout DC, MD and VA.
