AVANTE is Hiring a Nurse Unit Manager Near Ormond Beach, FL

Nurse Unit Manager , the position is entrusted with the responsibility of caring for our residents, families, co-workers, visitor and all others. The primary purpose of the position is for managing the staffing needs and providing supervision for the nursing staff providing direct resident care to ensure quality resident care on the assigned unit. This position assists in staff development. Such supervision is in accordance with current federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility. The position is required to provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

This position is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. The position is also responsible for providing direct resident care in accordance with established plans. This position also supervises Clinical Nurses and Nurse Aides/Techs.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a LPN/RN in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Must be able to supervise and instruct others.
  • Previous supervisory experience or completion of appropriate supervisory training program, or as required by state law.
  • Must maintain current CPR certification.
  • Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be a RN/LPN in good standing, and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements;
  • Must be 18 years of age;
  • Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read and write in a
  • legible and understandable manner;
  • Must speak and understand English;
  • Previous experience in a supervisory capacity;
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care;
  • Must maintain current CPR certification.
