The Arc Of Washington County is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN Near Hagerstown, MD
Position Description:
The Arc of Washington County is looking for a LPN to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their staff. In this role you will work behind the scenes to ensure all individuals receive quality healthcare. You will train staff on nursing plans of care, and provide them with the most up-to-dateassessments, doctor’s orders, and medical protocols to guarantee that direct support staff are providingexcellentcare. You will also serve as a support to the Lead LPN and medical assistants. You will practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in compliance with the COMAR regulations including the Nurse Practice Act and the Developmental Disabilities regulations.
Requirements:Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, licensed to practice in Maryland or a compact state. Priority given to a candidate that has some experience working with developmental disabilities or a similar population.Must also be 18 years old or older and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history. The successful candidate will also need to pass a background check, pre-employ. screenings including drug screen. Position requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure persons served health and safety.
