The Quality Assurance specialist assures that Medicaid billing is in compliance. He/she will adhere to OPWDD regulations and agency policies and will providedata analysis relative to quality assurance andimprovement outcomes. They will train and support teams in the areas of habilitationplanning and other tasks related to the effective delivery ofservices and supports. They are responsible for assuring knowledge regardingfindings, themes and process improvements across the department or program. If Qualified serves as an Agency QIDP
Some Responsibilities are as follows:
Over sees reconciliation of errors or omission prior to submitting claims for payments
Assures that standards and timelines are met in all service related documents
Receives notices of reportable incidents; Works to secure a site of an alleged incident, including immediate situation controls and immediate safeguards.
Conducts investigations, writes comprehensive reports
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree with 2 years experience or Associates Degree with Five Years experience in Human Service. Computer Skill are required. Must have a valid New York State Driver’s license and good driving record.
