Description

The Arc Madison Cortland is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team!

SUMMARY: The Technical Production Worker will set up manufacturing equipment following prints and specifications. This position ensures quality and consistency in production by assessing, modifying and/or calibrating equipment. Assists production workers with safety and quality instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Equipment operator and sets up various manufacturing equipment following prints and specifications.
  • Applies knowledge of mathematics and instruments to calculate customer standards and tolerances.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves quality issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make adjustments.
  • Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods.
  • Gives instruction and directions to production workers as needed to ensure customer quality requirements and safety are met.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: HS diploma/GED and three years’ manufacturing work experience required. Associate’s degree preferred. 

REQUIRED SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Ability to interpret and translate customer engineering drawings, blueprints, designs and documentation.

· Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

· Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers

· Excellent communications skills to instruct and direct others, write as needed

· Teamwork and collaboration

Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
