SUMMARY:

The Arc Jacksonville is looking for a Program Coordinator, Mental Health Services. Responsible for the overall functioning of all Mental Health Services provided by The Arc Jacksonville. The coordinator will ensure that operations of this program will meet or exceed the requirements mandated by governing bodies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving our clients, being organized, detail-oriented, a self-starter with a mental health background, and be passionate about The Arc Jacksonville. They will also help our leadership convey our mission. The Arc Jacksonville serves and advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences to achieve their full potential and to participate in community life.

AGENCY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate and encourage positive, polite interactions with people receiving services in a way that does not reflect personal opinions, values, or negative emotions.
• Take all necessary steps to ensure that the confidentiality and dignity of all people receiving services are always maintained.
• Interact with co-workers, supervisory and administrative staff in a courteous manner that encourages a positive and cooperative work environment, in addition to talking to Support Coordinators, family members, health care professionals and others in a way that promotes a positive image of the Agency and the people it serves.

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the highest quality of service for The Arc Jacksonville’s mental health services, which includes billing, scheduling, assisting with coverage for PSR groups, intake process, checking practitioner documentation, quality assurance for paperwork, coordination of transportation services, train new PSR practitioners.
• Serve as the point person for mental health intake for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) and/or individual counseling.
• Receives all mental health referrals, follows up to ensure the client is placed in the appropriate services, checks insurance eligibility, and then completes all initial intake paperwork.
• Oversees the PSR staff and any individual counselors.
• Monitors and approves payroll and time off, ensures all PSR groups are staffed appropriately.
• Completes clinical reviews for insurance companies to approve necessary services.
• Works with the Finance Department to ensure all documentation is submitted in a timely manner for billing purposes.
• Collaborate and communicate with any parents/or guardians and support coordinators.
• Assists The Arc Jacksonville’s licensed treating physician, which includes scheduling clients to be seen by the physician, ensuring clients are seen, and follow up with any necessary paperwork.
• Assists PSR workers with documentation as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of an earned bachelor’s degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social services, health administration, or social work, or marriage and family therapy program, accredited by the appropriate discipline-specific accrediting body.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, positive interpersonal skills, effective goal setting and implementation, creative and effective critical thinking skills. Effective collaboration and teamwork.
• Ability to perform all responsibilities independently, without direct supervision.
• Must have a valid Florida driver license and a good driving record. Must be willing and able to drive agency vehicles.

SALARY:

$35,000 to $45,000 annually based on experience and qualifications
